Dolly - A True Original Musical New York Theatre reviews
Lionel Richie - Simply Amazing!
Lionel Richie started his portion of the show on the piano and from the moment he took the stage he had the crowds full attention. He sang and danced like the epic performer we all expected. It felt like five minutes it was so good! He blew us away with instruments and his singing. The crowd stood or danced from the moment he took the stage until the last song.
MC was not as good as I expected. Most of her show was her looking pretty, sitting in her throne, and walking around in great outfits. It was easy to sit through her portion of the show. Always Be My Baby with her children was the highlight of her part of the performance. She was reading (it looked like lyrics) from a TelePrompTer and singing to backing tracks. With her amazing voice I expected her to really sing and blow us away.
I am a long time fan of Mariah Carey and Dolly - A True Original Musical so when this show came around I grabbed tickets on the first presale day. The rescheduled date was less convenient than the original date but I made it work.
